• You need a MaxMD Domain Name to access .mdEmail™. MaxMD asks for some Personal Information when you create a MaxMD account which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.
• E.mdmail™ stores, processes and maintains your messages, contact lists and other data related to your account in order to provide the service to you.
• When you use .mdEmail™, our servers automatically record certain information about your use of .mdEmail™. Similar to other web services, .mdEmail™ records information such as account activity (including storage usage, number of log-ins), data displayed or clicked on (including UI elements, ads, links); and other log information (including browser type, IP-address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and referrer URL).

When you send email, .mdEmail™ includes information such as your email address and the email itself as part of that email.

It may be necessary for .mdEmail™ to send out strictly service related announcements, which are not promotional in nature. Users may not opt-out of service announcements, though you can deactivate your account.

• You may change your .mdEmail™ account settings through the .mdEmail™ "settings" section.
• You may organize or delete your messages through your .mdEmail™ account or terminate your account through the MaxMD Account section of .mdEmail™ settings. Such deletions or terminations will take immediate effect in your account view. Residual copies of deleted messages and accounts may take up to 60 days to be deleted from our active servers and may remain in our offline backup systems.

.mdEmail™ generally uses Personal Information for the following purposes:

1. Identification;
2. Establishment and maintenance of our relationship with you, and to provide you with ongoing service and to respond to your requests and inquiries; requests and inquiries are forwarded to the relevant department, and are used to respond to your request or inquiry and maintain a record of correspondence;
3. Protect you, and us, against error and fraud;
4. Marketing purposes, such as using purchase histories and other demographic information you may have voluntarily provided to tailor our marketing activities and to implement and maintain loyalty programs;
5. Managing, administering, collecting or otherwise enforcing accounts;
6. Maintaining business records for reasonable periods, and generally managing and administering our business;
7. Meeting legal, regulatory, insurance, security and processing requirements; and
8. Otherwise with consent or as permitted or required by law.
